Yikes - For Some Reason I’m Getting Far Too Much Information About Britney Spears!
For the record, I can't name one song that Britney Spears has ever recorded nor have I ever seen a music video done by her. I don’t watch any 'Entertainment Tonight' or TMZ type of show. Yet lately, every day I seem to be trying to filter out a whole rush of 'Britney Spears' buzz and clatter.
For the record, I have NO desire to know ANYTHING about Ms. Spears. So why is it that I am aware that she is in hospital - moved now from a 72 hour mental health certificate to a 14 day hold - and that her father has now been given power of attorney over her affairs? Why do I know this and how do I push this info away?
I guess that this is just one of those times in the POPblogosphere where there is so much noise, it is overlapping into normal, sane, logical reality. It is all very reminiscent of Princess Diana’s death and funeral hysteria a decade ago.
I just hope that this little disturbance in the global blogosphere is short lived. It's driving me crazy!
