Memo to Stephane Dion's Handlers
When you take your boss, the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, on a tour of some farmer's dairy barn for a photo op, ensure that your guy changes out of his shirt & tie and suit.
Nothing looks more urban to western voters then some guy with his Ottawa suit and shiny shoes on as he tours through the straw and cow poop in a dairy barn.
The only thing that could have made this photo op worse, would have been if he was carrying his briefcase with him in the barn.
And I DO NOT want to hear one word out of any TORIES on this topic either!!!

I'm no Tory (but you already knew that).
Where "fashion" is concerned, I don't expect politicians to do it well. I'm loathe to criticize Dion on this matter simply because his normal context is more naturally "suit-and-tie" - I doubt he feels "comfortable" presenting in anything else.
(As a counterpoint, remember the awful Harper "cowboy drag" outfit a couple of years ago? Harper doesn't do anything other than a suit very well either)

my post was not intended to be a big slam on Dion. I watched the news clip of him in the barn on our local news and he looked so uncomfortable and out of place with the suit and tie.
In politics, you have to know how to 'dress down' from time to time.
As for Harper, go back to the post before yours and see that I covered the Harper item as well.
