NDP Presents Bill To scrap ATM Fees
OTTAWA (Reuters) - The New Democratic Party introduced a bill on Thursday to scrap bank-machine fees, intensifying pressure on banks which have already been targeted by Finance Minister Jim Flaherty.
"Its just been tabled today," NDP lawmaker Judy Wasylicia-Leis told banking executives testifying before a parliamentary finance committee.
"It calls for changes to the Bank Act -- which Mr. Flaherty says is quite possible -- to prohibit and eliminate fees in terms of electronic transfer of funds, that are used now by banks," she said.

Let's see how the Finance Minister votes on this! He seems to be on both sides of the issue. I have my own opinion but I will reserve judgement until after the vote.
