Federal And Quebec Liberals Brace For Release Of The Grenier Report
This week, Mr. Bernard Grenier, a retired Superior Court judge, delivers his report on Option Canada, the shadowy organization said to have funnelled close to $5-million in federal money into the No campaign before Quebec's 1995 sovereignty referendum.
Spending limits for the referendum allowed each side a budget of no more that $5-million. The allegation is that Option Canada gave the No side double the money the Yes side spent.
