Regina City Police Investigate Leak Of Confidential Reports To Opposition Saskatchewan Party

REGINA (CP) - The Regina City Police have launched an internal investigation to find out how their confidential reports ended up in the hands of the Official Opposition, Saskatchewan Party.

Police are required under the law to keep their records secret unless they are released under appropriate circumstances, such as in court, said Insp. Rick Bourassa. "It's very unusual for that to happen," Bourassa said. "I was very surprised."

Key to the investigation will be to determine if there are any links or connections between members of the police force and the Saskatchewan Party.
