I agree Tyler. While it is only a by-election it is still a sweet win.
The Liberal Party is going to be in turmoil over this loss. The Dion core simply don't understand what is wrong. It is Dion. Quebec is rejecting him - the West will not embrace him so they are basically screwed with him as Leader.
When he won, the Libs thought they were electing the next Liberal Prime Minister. He is too dry, too academic sounding, humourless and lacks charisma.
The mistake Dion made selecting Jocelyn Coulon as candidate, shows that Dion thought he was electing a future Cabinet Minister.
The point I am trying to make is that Liberals STILL see themselves as the natural governing party and they are skipping a key step to being re-elected .... CONNECT WITH THE PEOPLE!
Under Dion, that is not possible.
