As some have said "we have a long history of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory".

This is probably my last go-around with it, if we blow it this time I'm seriously considering re-registering as an independant.

The Republicans don't win elections, the Democrats lose elections. Sad, really, but true.

Was gonna post a comment with my opinion, but since I am a Proud White GoldWater Neocon, I noticed that your comment policy states:
Right wing extremism is not tolerated well here. Abusive or libelous comments will be deleted.

You fail to clarify your interpretation of 'right wing extremism', or 'abusive or libelous'; so I imagine its like most other 'progressives' or 'liberals' or some kind of 'label' which they pretend stands for 'free speech', but only 'free speech' they agree with; certainly not: "I don't agree with a word you say, but I will defend to the DEATH your right to say it" (Unlike REAL DEATH, these people arn't even willing to defend Voltarian free speech principles as far as ego-death).

Anyway, so a failure to clarify vague terminologies: Does that mean anything you don't like or disagree with is "libelous" or "rightwing extremism" or "abusive" (You would be surprised how very shallow and fragile many people's ego's are' just 'boo' can get them to cry 'abuse').

So, since I am a Proud White ThomasGoldwater Neocon, should I simply do you the favour of not posting my opinions at all; and thereby reduce your need to delete them for 'abuse' or whatever?

Feel free to correct my interpretations should they be incorrect, and you are interested in a conversation.
