I had the fortune to meet him in a bar on Bloor St. in Toronto in 1989and he was totally by himself and we had a general conversation.He was just a regular guy and unaffected by his celebrity. Where we were was at the back of the bar and nobody could recognise him in the half light that bars have.Then some idiot of a personal assistant came in and ended things very suddenly. The last I saw was him shrugging his shoulders and rolling his eyes at the assistant breaking up a quiet and enjoyable time.
