What an embarrassment to humanity. Political issue aside, these idiots are truly a disgrace to humanity.
However, I'm not the least bit surprised. For over 15 years I travelled throughout the United States and have been to every state except for Maine and the depth of Americans racism and bigotry never failed to shock me.
Now to the politics. This bill had nothing to do with Republicans because the Democrats out number them 253 to 178. For some reason the Democrats couldn't get it together to pass this bill despite massive majorities in both houses. Why? Why did Dennis Kucinich not support it until Obama gave him a plane ride? When a bill of this size and importance is passed it is political suicide not to support it if it is considered good for people, so why would the Democrats themselves spend over a year fighting it out? The bill sounds good, but what are we missing that would make far left Congressmen like Dennis Kucinich not support it? Regardless, it's a US issue, not Canadian, but I do so enjoy following American politics.
