Boy, that sure was a slick move. How to piss off rural Canada all over Canada. Oops.
And so delightfully cynical, when you see the hordes of urban Canadian hard-of-thinking that actually believed it would work.
Handguns have been severely restricted since the late 1920's, and a good thing too, and our police are very active making sure that laws are adhered to.
That being said, you should be aware that the handgun registry is also a long way from 'perfect', in that old records are not necessarily complete, and who knows how many old handguns are out in the boonies since WW1 - 100 years ago.

C$SR ... it's not like most Canadians didn't have an opinion on the issue. My point here is that there was little altruistic motivation by the Liberals. The whole point of the Registry was to DIVIDE. It was successful. Your comments continue to prove that. Cheers! :)
