Disgraced Tory Candidate Fined $5000 And Loses His Car For Booze Smuggling
Derek Zeisman, who was the candidate in the riding of British Columbia Southern Interior, pleaded guilty to the smuggling charge Monday in Surrey provincial court.
YEAH ... what kind of socialist nonsense is going on here when a self respecting Conservative candidate cannot make a few bucks of profit from a business venture!!!
Umm, he was the nominated candidate until he got in trouble. Then he was the formerly nominated candidate.
He didn't run.

You're correct - the article points out that Harper would not let him run and as a result there was no tory candidate - the NDP took the seat.
