Edmonton Man Gets Jail for Website Hate Crimes
I think the good news in this is simply that being 'stupid' or 'uniformed' will not be a defense for material that is blantantly intended to incite hatred against individuals or groups.
Globe and Mail
So the question I now have is whether or not the good folks over at Western Standard.Ca will run out and give assistance to this guy?

Sound to me like you are making a judgement on "material that is blantantly intended to incite hatred against individuals or groups".
A judgement that such material is wrong, is bad, maybe even evil. What happened to your moral neutrality? What happened to your claim that "one man's bacon is another man's forbidden unclean food"?

You make no sense. The courts have determined that to say the holocaust never occured and to spread other antisemetic material in Canada is against the law. Deal with it. I am not making a 'judgment' - a judge in Edmonton made a judgement! Moral Neutrality? What are you talking about??

A little late to weigh in on this topic, but I disklike the fact that this moron was jailed. Free speech needs to remain free. One can argue that some speech is bad, but who gets to be the judge.

I will go a LONG way to defend freedom of speech. But I am also concerned about responsibily for decisions and actions.
If a Keegstra declares in the face of contrary evidence that very little harm befell the Jews in Germany during 1936-1945 and actively speaks and publishes material that is not true, and the intent is to incite hatred for a definable group, he has to be responsible for his false teachings. He was VERY vocal and his right to speak freely comes into quetion.
