Calgary is experiencing a housing shortage. Especially hit hard are those who require affordable housing. Capacity in the city's shelter system is maxed out and individuals are now being turned away nightly. As a consequence, a group of persons had been squatting on city land near a golf course.
As Canadians sat down to their Thanksgiving dinner, the remnants of the squatters tent city were hard to find. In the midst of plenty, there is still want.
