Wpg Free Press - Harper Could Pay For Wheat Board Abuse
Here is a brief quote:
"PRIME Minister Stephen Harper's purely ideological assault on the Canadian Wheat Board is a textbook case of abuse of power. And the solid rebuke from Prairie farmers in last weekend's CWB biennial director elections could mean he will pay a steep electoral price."
The Head Offices of the CWB are in Winnipeg Manitoba.

I think that this is a great time for the GPC or the renewed Liberals to come out with a strong plan for rural Canada and the West in regard to the CWB and the option of selling their grain in the private sector.
I think the Greens can polarize rural communities and challenge the CPC on a lot of issues, cause let's face it, Layton is only concerned about keeping urban seats and the Liberals will NEVER be elected in the prairies.
Is Elizabeth May smart enough to strike while the Iron is hot? Deborah Grey was elected in a rural riding, and look what that win did for her party.

That's an interesting spin, Dylan.
The question I have is whether or not the Green Party has any significant credibility in the rural prairies?
It seems to me that their base of support is oddly urban more than rural, and I'm not sure if May can capitalize on that yet.
I disagree with you about the Libs and the prairies (with the possible exception of Alberta - but that's a whole other can of worms). Federally, the Liberals have done well on the prairies at various times - and right now might be an opportune time for Liberal fortunes to make gains as prairie people are being directly (and adversely) affected by CPoC ideology these days.
