New CBC Sitcom 'Little Mosque On the Prairie' Debuts Next Week
"Little Mosque on the Prairie," a Canadian sitcom which debuts Tuesday, January 9th depicts immigrant Muslims living in a small town with locals in rural Saskatchewan.
The comedy follows the day to day challenges of an Islamic family in the middle of pure prairie culture. It is sure to give creative comedy writers lots of potential to work their craft.
Already dubbed by some as 'Allah In The Family' the comedy is certain to spark initial interest when it debuts.
Canada's most popular sitcom, CTV's 'Corner Gas' is also filmed and set in rural Saskatchewan.

The only Muslims we're likely to see on TV will be the "bad guys" on some action-adventure flick.
Oh well, at least it gives the Russians a break, eh?

There is a lot of interest in this new situation comedy. It will be shown on the CBC. Anyone with a satellite TV system should be able to find it.
