Al Gore In Regina On Monday

Oscar-winning environmentalist Al Gore is bringing his global warming lecture "An Inconvenient Truth" to a Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada on April 23.

Gore recently won the Best Documentary Feature Academy Award for his film "An Inconvenient Truth". He'll be speaking at the Brandt Centre Monday morning at 11 o'clock.

It would be neat to see that live, you going? What about Kate ;)

Yup ... I have a ticket way up in the nose bleed section - I actually don't anticipate Kate's attendance - but I'm sure she'll blog on it ... There were 5100 tickets for sale ...

I can't make it to the talk; are you planning on taking a video camera? That would be sweet if you could post some of Gore's talk!!!

There have been a lot of buzz on Gore and global warming. However, I believe that debates over the authenticity of Gore on Global Warming is not important. The genuineness of global warming is not proven but we cannot deny that the climate change in some parts of the world is devastating farmers in developing countries. Finding solutions to this problem is much more important than proving or disproving global warming. Politics will only taint the cause of global warming awareness.

While you're there, would you remind him to run for President down here?

Was a very inspiring presentation. The place was packed with youth who spontaniously burst into cheers and applause when Premier Calvert walked onto the stage to introduce the Vice President. I was such a good feeling to be in a crowd of people who put the politics aside, coming together for the good of all humanity.

Gore gave a wonderful presentation. It started right on time at 11:00 am and he spoke until 1:15 pm ... so it certainly wasn't a rushed job.

I feel honoured to have heard him and seen him in the flesh. He would be a great President!

TomCat - you get what you want with Gore - see my NEW post ... rumours are in the air of a 2008 bid!

Dawg, those rumors were already in the works, and Gore is still saying no. If only you has asked him personally, he might have relented. ;-)
