Federal Minister of Defense, Gordon O'Connor said the withdrawal of Canadian troops from Afghanistan is conditional on local security forces being able to meet their own security needs.
"We don't want to be there forever. Our exit strategy is to try to get Afghan governance, development and security to such a level that they can look after themselves," said O'Connor.
Too bad he again has NOT used this opportunity to tell Canadians what is happening in the ongoing talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban!!
