Former President Jimmy Carter BLASTS George W. Bush
"I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history," Carter told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in a story that appeared in the newspaper's Saturday editions. "The overt reversal of America's basic values as expressed by previous administrations, including those of George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon and others, has been the most disturbing to me."

George Bush is too deluded by his fundamentalist world view to really be aware of much that is reality.
The suffering that his policies are causing is criminal.
Carter inherited an America after 8 years of Nixon and Ford that had been setting the stage in the Middle East for the problems that Carter inherited. What Bush is doing is totally unforgivable.
Without any facts, only ideology and false beliefs, he invaded Iraq. Unaware of the cultural and religious challenges of holding that nation together, he went in and destabalized the lives of millions of families.
I can never count Bush in the league of those who can think and reason based on factual reality and applied logic.
He is a fucking imbecile and risks the stability of the planet.

Mr. President;
"W" IS the worst President in history and the damage he has done to us throughout the world will never be undone!
Thank you for having the guts to speak the truth! NEVER apologize or backtrack for speaking the truth. It needs to be done.
It is a shame "W" and Blair (a good man) aren't leaving office together!

It turned into a non-event really. Carter back-peddled on his statement which is exactly why Carter was never an effective leader. Apologize when it's warranted, change your mind when new information comes to light but never, ever, back down just because someone doesn't like what you said.
