Reminds me of the old SCTV "Bob & Doug Mackenzie" skits...

Yes I miss them - these two characters are great at depicting hard core Republican / Bush supporters south of the 49th. I love them!

Larry Craig has a problem. Nick Nolte had a problem. The Roman Catholic Church has a problem. Paris Hilton, Britany Spears and many more have problems. Sometimes, these problems are of a serious nature that leaves the person vulernable during a very sensitive time. It is bad manners and downright rude to make fun of people in such situations. That's not humour; that's kicking a person who's down.

As it relates to Senator Larry Craig, he is a powerful elected individual who has not been supportive of building a society where individuals who are homosexual can live, work and function without discrimination and relegation to the status of '2nd class citizen'. Hence, when Senator Larry Craig displays behaviour that conflicts with his own self declared public positions, I don't have a lot of sympathy for him. Where I could have sympathy for him resides in the possibility that he has been hiding this secret his whole life AS A RESULT of the same persecution that he has himself turned a blind eye to as a senator.
