Saskatchewan's New Right Wing Government May Drop Equalization Court Challenge Against Harper

Surprise, surprise! Saskatchewan's new right wing 'Premier Elect' is having doubts about the recent court action the province initiated against the Harper government over inconsistent application of the rules of equalization.

The Saskatchewan Party is closely related to the Federal Conservative government. Tom Lukiwski, a Member of Parliament from Regina is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Saskatchewan Party. Nancy Heppner, Sask Party MLA for Martensville worked for Stephen Harper until she won a recent by-election.

No one was more happy with a Saskatchewan Party victory this week than Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

"I am concerned that friendships and political allegiances may short-change the people of Saskatchewan,""Political allegiances should not lead to a sellout of Saskatchewan's interests."

The point that you are not comprehending is that Wall goes to great lengths to deny his connections with the Harper crew. I understand that you see and acknowledge the relationship ... but I don't think Wall wants you to talk about it - especially on lefty blog sites :)

Hey, leftdog

As an interested outsider, I have been wondering. What "hope" was Brad Wall offering?

Besides daily affirmations for the voters, I didn't see much hope in the platform.

I did hope for pharmacare and I hoped for lower tuition.

Well said! We are going to hear that crap over and over and over ... I can just tell!

Hope beats fear - and yet look at how the Saskies mongered fear in the news for years!

I agree ... what 'hope' is Brad talking about? Hope that they don't pillage the treasury like they did last time?

Good to see ya - still in BC?

Yup, rain beats snow.

I find it rather disturbing that the public's votes are being swayed by nonsense slogans and positive daily affirmations.

I can only "hope" for better.
