Video Tapes Of Robert Dziekanski Incident 'Accidentally' Erased
VANCOUVER — An investigator says the accidental erasing of hours of surveillance images of Polish immigrant Robert Dziekanski, who died after being tasered by the RCMP, won’t affect a police probe of the incident. But Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day is concerned enough to have asked the Canada Border Services Agency to immediately review the way they handle such materials. [...] Walter Kosteckyj, the lawyer for Dziekanski’s mother, said the loss of all the footage may rob investigators of images that would have provided a context for the events.

So isn't that convienient? Ah well ... the RCMP will be off the hook shortly ... just a little more public relations needed to finish up the 'whitewash'!

Should we be surprised then that the highest in-custody-death rate is in BC?
" 'E' Division [B.C.] reported 56 per cent of RCMP in-custody deaths, which is higher than would be anticipated based on its member population (33 per cent of total RCMP members)," the report states.
The killing of Dziekanski by BC RCMP police is being whitewashed like all other in custody deaths. The deleted tape is simply another symptom of it.
Whitewash galore, but the reported numbers (80 in custody deaths between 2002 and 2006!) speak for themselves.

Hi Eric. This should be the topic of a federal inquiry. The stats you provided are very shocking! There is something wrong with RCMP culture in BC!

Looking at the video definately looks like excessive force. But not being there an attorney or cop or otherwise it kind of restricts my opinion did I mention phychitrist. Anyway who the fuck erased the cameras?
