Given that the G-G is a vice-regal, wouldn't such actions on the part of the Conservatives be treasonous?

That would be analogous to giving a raspberry to the Queen.

I'd love to see Harper be sued in court for his political actions.

If there were any advice that I could give to Canada's Gov. Gen, Michaëlle Jean, it would be to prepare herself and brace for a blizzard of abuse, venom and lies that will be directed towards her and her spouse, by Conservative members and supporters, if she happens to deny Harper his request for prorogation.

And it seems that that might very well have happened when Harper visited the GG.

Seriously, was she bullied into setting this horrible precedent?

Robin 111 - it's not disappointment it's acceptance that we are in for a world of absurdity. Harper will be relentless in his lies, the Liberals desperate in their saving face - and the rest of us will remain screwed.

That being said you must respect the fact that anybody-but-harpo is a legitimate point of view - and albeit insane, that some of us are willing to back a coalition given fact Harper opted to act like a child.
