Conservative MPs Putting Their Own Names On Stimulus Cheques
Is this $89,000 or $166,000 coming from Conservative MP, Larry Miller's bank account? If not, why is his name on this Federal Government Stimulus Program cheque??
-CBC News
-Larry Miller - Tory MP
CTV also asks some very hard questions about using taxpayers money to promote Conservative Party
-Conservative Party Logo or Tory MP Names on Government of Canada cheques is totally wrong!
Clear across Canada every single project, involving government money, that I have ever seen always has the names of the local MP, or MLA, or MPP, or Premier, or Prime Minister involved in providing the funds. Even in the US the Governor of the State will get his name on a bridge or whatever else he can. Terry Fox rest area on the Yellowhead has a whole bunch of politician's names on the plaque.
However, what is NEVER on the plaque is the politician's political party.

Trent, if in the upper left hand of a large replica government of Canada cheque, the words read:
"From the People of Canada"
.. right wingers would be going mental about it being 'socialist' blah blah blah.
It is not the MP's money, his/her name, nor the Party's logo, should be on the cheque.

I don't know which is worse, the audaciousness of that smiling, smarmy, tax-fattened hyena, the Cons for doing this over and over again and getting away with it, or the blatantly partisan way they're doling out OUR money. It's grotesque. The thought of a Con or indeed Liberal majority makes me shiver in fright.
