The Royal Visit - Idiocy On Parade
OTTAWA -- When Prince Charles and Camilla arrive in St. John's, N.L., today it will be the beginning of a trip royal watchers hope will sell Canadians on the idea of a future King Charles. "There's a disconnect between Charles and Canadians and this visit is the opportunity for us to reacquaint ourselves with the future king, and also, a chance for him to really cement his role as the future head of state," says Robert Finch, CEO of The Monarchist League of Canada

Imagine that ... there's a 'disconnect' between the heir to the throne of a FOREIGN nation and Canada.
Canada's ongoing connection to the British monarchy is insulting, idiotic and lacks both logic and reality.
Why Canadians would want anything to do with the elitist royal family of another nation defies common sense.
Like the majority of Canadian citizens, I don't have one drop of English/British blood flowing in my veins and constitutional attachments to our former imperial masters is utterly irrelevant in the 21st century. We operate with a Governor General as the constitutional head of our style of democracy. People,(!) we can elect a governor general and still call her/him by that title.
The idiocy of parading the future King of England around Canada, pretending that it is in any way relevant, defies all common sense. The MSM should stop all reporting of this nonsense. The entire bill for the costs of this idiotic tour should be sent to Buckingham Palace.
Abolish the Monarchy!!!
-Only 23% of Canadians want Charles to become King of Canada
