We Don't Need The Queen To Visit Us On Canada Day - Stay Home Please!
Canadians paid $2.57 Million for the visit by Prince Charles and his wife last month. (We got real value for that investment, didn't we?).
On the heels of that bad bit of news, we now find out that his royal Mother, the Queen is going to come here for her visit around Canada Day, 2010 and that trip will cost Canadians $3.6 Million.
Elizabeth Windsor .... Please stay in England! Enough is enough! This relationship lacks any attachment to reality. Please!

How many hungry people would we be able to feed with this money? How many homes could be built for low-income families? How much hope could be sewn into Canada's fraying social fabric with all these wasted millions?
Liz is welcome in my Canada any time she wants to show up, but as a tourist and not an outdated anachronism. She can bring her own security detail and pay the bill for it all from that iconic purse she carries around.
