It Will Take More Than A Summer Bus Tour To Rehabilitate The Liberal Party
Liberal Party members seem pretty full of themselves lately. Many are convinced that their leader, Michael Ignatieff has finally started to drop the 'loser' image that has plagued him since he took the party helm.
The summer bus tour photos are quite nice. Iggy flipping hotcakes .. Iggy engaged in various ethnic dances ... Iggy waving ... Iggy smiling. The problem is that most of these activities were conducted with and for carefully crafted 'Liberal only' crowds. Very, very few events involved the general public. We shouldn't be surprised. Outside of certain urban centres, there are very few locations where the public would be interested in going out to see or hear Mr. Ignatieff.
Liberal entitlement is such that any small gain makes them salivate, thinking that winning government once again is on the horizon. If you ask the average Canadian, they will tell you, 'not so much'!
The rehabilitation of the Liberal Party of Canada has a long way to go yet.
