It's not that I have the gift of prophecy. I don't. But when it comes to politics in Canada, I have a habit of being correct.

I predict that there will be very few entrants in the leadership race. It will be between Thomas Mulcair and Brian Topp.

It's hard to say. Thomas Mulcair, Peggy Nash, Robert Chisholm and Brian Topp are all major contenders. As a New Dem, I can already argue for the merits of any of these four. This may not be an easy choice for New Dems (remember every member gets to vote for Leader). I see a huge jump in Party membership between now and Leadership Convention.
