I still need to be convinced. In the mean time, I think I may develop a craving for 'waffles'.

I've watched Mulcair during Question Period and other times in the House.
He does know his remit and he has always acquitted himself very well at all times.

It's impossible to assess him as leader without first watching him for several months and I'm certain he'll do very well.

It would be more helpful if Harper were as diligent and principled as Mulcair but that's only a wish and it won't be fulfilled. The Conservatives really do need a leader with more charisma and the House needs to bring back decorum.

Mulcair and Rae will show Harper how it's really done in the House and the contrast will be very telling to the general public who wish to follow the nation's business.

To me, the NPD/NDP platform is a no-brainer, the rational consensus of divergent people of good faith on what we need to do to exist together with the least suffering possible. I am hoping that the more dogmatic elements within the party will support Mulcair in deed as well as word so that we can salvage what is left of the infrastructure it took so many generations to build.
