OTTAWA — Federal bureaucrats notified Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s chief of staff in June that they were about to make public that a search of the Privy Council Office had not uncovered a single document related to the scandal involving Sen. Mike Duffy.

What makes me feel so defeated is that I fear that Slimy Steven will somehow get away with it. He has not so subtly moved from arrogance to despotism yet despite plenty of damning circumstances, there is no smoking gun (yet).
Does he have the whole of the RCMP in his back pocket or is there some faint hope that they can pry back the rot of his truly unprecedented administration to expose the maggots of corruption underneath? This is not a politician with whom a majority of Canadians merely have vast ideological differences. Harper is the most duplicitous ideologue ever elected to dwell in 24 Sussex. Just once I'd like to hear him address Canadians truthfully and without dissembling.
