Israel Ends Occupation of Lebanon - IDF Pulls Out
Israeli troops have been slowing leaving Lebanon for the last two weeks in a staged withdrawl that ends their military occupation of the region.
Just prior to completeing the withdrawl, there had been a tense 20 minute standoff betweem French UN peace keeping forces and the IDF. Israeli troops had tried to move back into the southern village of Marwaheen, but French tanks prevented the further incursion.
