NDP Win Nfld Byelection - Williams Pouts!
Newfoundland & Labrador New Democrats won a byelection in St.John's and the Tory sour grapes were immediately apparent. NDP Leader and candidate, Lorraine Michael won the Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi byelection by a comfortable margin over Williams's hand-picked candidate, Jerome Kennedy. The New Democratic victory was assisted by the Liberals who acknowledged a request from former NDP leader Jack Harris and did not field a Liberal candidate. Some Liberals even volunteered on Michael's campaign.
So what did blunderbuss Williams do the minute defeat was apparent? He slammed the Liberals and called the New Democrats the 'real opposition'.

For a man who supposedly doesn't like Stephen Harper, he certainly has learned how to react just like him.
Always blame the Liberals (even though they never had a candidate in the riding).

What amazes me is that you can get 70% of your population to agree on something. WOW.
I think this is why the US has resisted a 3rd party. We can never get more than 30% to agree on anything so having only 2 parties forces us to choose. More parties would likely result in civil war.
