Ann Franks's WWII diary Turns 60 Today
60 years ago today, the Diary of Anne Frank was published for the first time. Since then, it has been translated into a number of languages and has sold millions of copies world wide. It is a testament to the human spirit and the will to survive. The entire Frank family except for Anne's father died in Nazi concentration camps. At the end of the war, he returned to the Netherlands and found that Anne's diary which documented their years in hiding, had been kept safe by friends.
