Colin Powell Calls For Immediate Closure Of Guantanamo Bay Military Prison
On this weeks episode of 'Meet the Press', former United States Secretary of State, Colin Powell said he favours immediately closing the notorious Guantanamo Bay military prison and moving its detainees to facilities in the United States.There are currently 380 individuals being held in the the 'Gitmo' secret military detention facility.

I wonder if it is possible that he just might be getting ready to jump into the 2008 presidential election as a Republican - but trying to play himself as 'reasonable' - not nutso - playing on the current anti-Bush sentiments of most Americans and LOTS of Republicans????

That's an interesting thought. With his high profile too he might even carry the primaries, depending on how much he wants to placate the religious right.
