"Did anybody think about the optics of this thing?" Conservative Official
Arrogance - thy name is Conservative!
... and it continues ....
OTTAWA -- "Finance Minister Jim Flaherty's office ignored the warnings of bureaucrats last year who said there was no "reasonable rationale" to direct a $122,000 contract to a Conservative speechwriter without going to tender, documents show."
Globe & Mail
There are a lot of bloggers who would like to get a $122,000 contract to write speeches.
QUESTION OF THE DAY: Did the Conservatives give this work to any right wing blogger that we know of???

. . ."no reasonable rationale". . .
-----------------
I've been saying for the longest time that the conservatives don't think things through to their logical conclusion.
Any situation that arises requires an immediate and knee-jerk reaction and resolution.
More than that, it beggars belief that one could decide to forgo the contract tendering because of "no reasonable rationale".
That means that whatever a minister of the Crown thinks can happen just by virtue of his thinking and setting into motion the deed that stems from the thought.
So,that's all right then, innit?
And do they walk on water, too?
Cancervatives! Bah!
