Goodbye General Rick Hillier! - Was he pushed or did he jump?
Canada's top soldier is resigning. Good. The only aspect that is not yet identified is whether he resigned of his own free will or did the Harper government push him.
I am no fan of General Hillier. His constant interference in the politics of the nation was inappropriate and should not have been tolerated.

Not today. That would make Tuesday too much of a bad news day. Better wait a couple of days when nothing else significant is bad news and shuffle Bernier out of cabinet then.
Best bet. Wait until the Friday afternoon 5:30 news dump.

Stop the presses! At this moment, the RCMP are inside the Conservative Party of Canada headquarters with a search warrant! This is going to be a VERY bad Tuesday for Harper indeed!
