Maxime Bernier Screws Up Again With Pledge To Help Burma Victims
Maxime Bernier
Minister of Foreign Affairs
But sources said the Department of National Defence could not deliver on the Minister's promise because two of Canada's four C-17s are undergoing maintenance work and the other two are in pre-scheduled use.
As a result, the Government of Canada had to scramble to rent an expensive Russian plane because they could not deliver on Foreign Affairs Minister Maxime Bernier's public pledge to provide Canada's new C-17s for the task in Burma.

If you took a poll of the ridings and asked constituents if there are happy with their MP, what would be the rate of discontent for the Liberal members and the Conservative members?
I broach that question in the belief that the constituents of Beauce are very unhappy with Bernier. The string of unhappy incidents with that man cannot please the good Beauceois.
Then, there are the Jason Kenneys and Art Hangers and the Poilievres in the house and their equivalents in the other parties.
I,on the other hand, am very happy with Bob Rae.
I'd love to see the poll showing the degree of contentedness of the voters vis-a-vis their MP.
Anyone else smell a major change of MPs come the next election particularly with the Conservatives?
