Proof That Saskatchewan's Extreme Right Wing Labour Legislation Is A Joke!
Earlier this year, the new Saskatchewan Party government passed and enacted changes to the province's existing labour laws that can only be described as a breach of Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms .
Under Saskatchewan's new 'Essential Services' legislation, health librarians and music therapists have now been included as essential services who have lost the right to strike. These job classifications join almost EVERY other health related job description covered by the legislation as a service essential to the government where the right to strike is no longer an option.
The Saskatchewan Federation of Labour is currently challenging Saskatchewan's extreme labour laws in the courts.

So ... do you want more proof that the Saskatchewan Party government has an extreme labour agenda? Well, Brad Wall's government is also proceeding with legislation to lower the minimum age that children can be employed at! Ahhh ... child labour! It's the Saskatchewan Party way of the future .....
We'll have to see how far the SCC is prepared to take the "collective bargaining as a Charter right" principle. Until the summer of 07 they had refused to consider it at all.
The Ontario Court of Appeal apparently thinks the court will be pretty broad with it after yesterdays farm workers decision. We'll see where the SCC goes.

The SCC of Canada would be hard pressed to not recognize the 'right' to withhold one's labour ...
The alternative would be to live in a nation where (other than key work that which is critical to the well being of the nation) labour is FORCED!!
