Is Harper A Pathological Liar? (The Flag)

"Here we have these three parties signing a document, and they wouldn't even have a the Canadian flag behind them! They had to be photographed without it, because a member of the coalition doesn't even believe in the country."
Prime Minister Stephen Harper
December 2, 2008
House of Commons

Here's the truth that dispels another of Stephen Harper's fabrications, pictures and video were taken during that signing, and they tell a different story.
The flag that was there!

Identifying a Pathological Liar
They "construct" a reality around themselves. They don't value the truth, especially if they don't see it as hurting anyone. If you call them on a lie and they are backed into a corner, they will act very defensively and say ugly things (most likely but depends on personality), but they may eventually start to act like, "Well, what's the difference? You're making a big deal out of nothing!" (again, to refocus the conversation to your wrongdoing instead of theirs).

"In a time of universal deceit,
telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act."

George Orwell

Then there are other good bits in the WikiAnswers article, to whit:

"Pathological liars ... may be suffering from histrionic personality disorder or narcissistic personality disorder."

Judging from Harper's behaviour, I'd guess he's among those with NPD.

I disagree with a couple of themes in the article. First, pathological liars may not ever or always be aware that they're lying. That's part of the pathology. They construct new truths, which at the time they may or may not know to be false, but then they come to believe in the new reality they've constructed.

Second, not all pathological liars are bad people, which this article suggests. My ex-husband is a pathological liar, but he hasn't a mean or spiteful bone in his body.

Yes is the answer to your question. Pinnochio claims the Bloc will have a veto. How does a party with only 60 seats have the ability to veto anything. They would need his support to defeat bills introduced and amended by the coalition and his party. The flag clearly visible is not the one Harper wants. That one has stripes and 51 stars on it.
