It just blows my mind that people consider Obama socialist. The comments indicate how completely inane political discourse is among some on the right. "socialist" just means anyone not liked by the right or who uses the govt. for anything progressive.

Stupid or uneducated individuals quite often embrace Rightwing or conservative thinking simply because it attempts to reduce complicated issues down to a good/bad - right/wrong world view duality.

They have no real knowledge of history. No concept that Hitler was NOT a socialist in any way, merely took over an actual small socialist party in 1920's Germany and kept the name.

No concept of the massive armed struggle between Stalin and Hitler and the millions killed. Yet there is a poster with Stalin/Hitler standing together? D-U-M-B!

This is the same mindset that believes the Earth and the entire material Universe is about 5000 years old! This is the same mindset that will not grasp the facts that 6,000,000,000 humans (with their cars, industry, etc) is having ANY impact on the environment or atmosphere. D-U-M-B!!

It's not simply dumb - it's actually hatred.
