Afghan Men Throw Rocks At Women Protesting New Marriage Law
"A 300-strong group of Afghan women were pelted with small stones Wednesday as they protested against a controversial law that legalizes rape within marriage. A much larger group of about 1,000 Afghans -- both men and women -- swarmed the demonstration to throw stones and shout at the women."

As I was reading your post I thought you were going to say that another round of men and women gathered to throw rocks at the men throwing rocks at the women.
Reminds me of that old song: "Well.. they'll stone you when you're driving in your car. They stone you just for being who you are... Eveybody must get stoned!"

By the way, women in Afghanistan generally donot know how to drive.They are driven.

The law is stupid, but the fact that there even ARE protests is encouraging. I'll take a cue from Oemissions and quote Dylan again: The times, they are a-changin'.
