Calgary Herald Editorial SLAMS Conservative Abuses With Stimulus Cheques
Calgary Herald
If the Conservative Party of Canada has a secure 'heartland' it is in the Alberta foothills. If there is a paper that has been supportive of Stephen Harper and his caucus it is the Calgary Herald.
This is substantive.
And it's right in Harper's back yard. Calgary is his hometown.
As they say on Fox News
This is huuuuuuuge

I'm not sure it's huge, but it's big, really big. Big enough that they can't just bluff their way out of it with lawsuits and rhetorical half-truths. The opposition must find a way to keep this in front of the public in the same way they Cons did with the Libs sponsorship scandal.
And my own ever-lovin NDP has to distance itself from both the Libs and the Cons and sell itself as the party of honour. If we could just win enough seats to hold the balance of power it would be so huge for the people of Canada.
BTW Torontonian, Herr Harper was born and raised in Toronto. His riding is in Calgary, which I'm sure is what you meant.

By hometown, I mean place of principal residence rather than place of birth.
Harper spent his childhood in Leaside and the only good thing to come out of it are the railway tracks.
