'Memory Lane' - Former Conservative MP, Rahim Jaffer's Anti-Drug Ad
-The New Democrats went on to defeat Rahim Jaffer for his Federal Riding.
-Jaffer went on to be arrested for drunk driving and possession of cocaine.
"Jack Layton and the Ottawa NDP have publicly supported the legalization of marijuana. In fact when asked about marijuana Jack Layton called it a wonderful substance which Canadians should be free to smoke at home or in a cafe. Edmontonians understand how difficult it is to make sure our children make the right choices especially on serious issues like drug use. The Conservative Party supports drug free schools and getting tough with drug dealers who sell illegal drugs to children. Don't let our schools go up in smoke..on October 14th vote Conservative."

Geez. Dawg, did Karl Rove move to Canada? That sounds like one of his.

Rob Nicholson should go down for this one. It would be wonderful if this whole episode brings down the Harper government merely for the hypocrisy--not soft on crime yet Jaffer gets a wrist-slap.
I'd love this to be the first of several things to bring down Harper just like Mulroney got pulled down by the likes of Roch LaSalle and others.

I know how it works for Rahim, and the rest of Harpo's team. Jail for everybody else, the Ritz Carlton for them.
So how does that go again Rahim? "Throw the book at the teens for smokin' the killer weed. And while your at it, pass me that bottle of Jack Daniels - for some reason that last line I snorted got stuck half way down."
