Remember in Saskatchewan and BC when the NDP became a viable, even default governing option, the provincial 'liberals' and 'conservatives' merged into right leaning chamber of commerce parties. Sure they call themselves Liberals in BC and 'The Saskatchewan Party' in Saskatchewan but they are the right wing alternatives to the NDP in each province. When the UKs last election created a minority parliament the two parties that felt most sympatico to form a coalition were the conservatives and the liberals. Those who think that the NDP and the Liberals are both progressives who just disagree on details simply haven't been paying attention.
