I am sure that the Hon. Peter MacKay's political handlers wish that this controversy would just go away. It won't.

When the House of Commons reconvenes, I certainly hope that one of the very first questions goes to MacKay and pointedly asks him what the basis of his statement was that 'Iran is supplying weapons to the Taliban in Afghanistan'.

Experts in the field are questioning what the basis of MacKay's statement is.
