The Sheer Number Of Scandals Are Now Starting To Bog Conservative Government Down
-Canada will investigate NAFTAgate leak
-PM Insists Party's Financial Offer To Help Cadman Completely 'Legal'
-Baird office call to OPP made hours before force about-face
I thought the campaign promises were Open Honest and Accountable government.
Those of us in Ontario remember the same phrase from Mike Harris. We rolled our eyes skyward and said we'll not be taken for that ride again and voted elsewhere except for those who liked how Harris' tax cuts drove us to the poorhouse.
Then of course there were the gin-and-Jaguar belt yuppies who fell into a collective swoon with tax cuts and got fooled a second time around with Harper.
The Common Sense Revolution caused so many problems that they came home to roost very quickly and Harris was besieged with so many problems of his own making that he was eventually driven from office a haunted man.
I can only wish the same for Harper.
BAH!

I dunno, seems like a pretty good strategy to me - keep causing the most colossal (and disgusting) scandals so that Canadians can't keep track of them anymore and just give up trying.
I'd say that Harper has pretty much accomplished his agenda of destroying our traditional form of gov. without the vast majority of Canadians even noticing...or, apparently, caring.
