Chicago's Sheriff Refuses To Remove Tenants In Foreclosure Evictions
"Last week, Sheriff Tom Dart of Cook County, Illinois issued a press release that quickly became news across the country; he was suspending all foreclosure evictions in the area because banks weren't notifiying tenants about their landlord's problems. "These mortgage companies only see pieces of paper, not people, and don't care who's in the building," Dart said in the release. "We're just not going to evict innocent tenants. It stops today." The Illinois Bankers Association quickly fired back with its own public statement, calling Dart's move "vigilantism." But supporters have been just as vocal; one local resident wrote a letter to the Chicago Tribune hailing Dart as a true American patriot ... "

Wow... Mental Note: When I take over the world I have to make sure this guy is locked up good... Thinking like that could cause problems in my new world order... Definitely not a sheep...
I wonder if someone is going to try to make an example of him? It seems as though he's within his legal right though as Illinois has that 120 day grace period.
