The Photo That George Bush Did NOT Want Americans To See
Effective February of this year, it is the families of American military service personnel killed in Iraq or Afghanistan who now decide if they want photos of the repatriation of their deceased to be published. ...and it's about time. To bring the remains of these brave men and women home under cover of darkness, in secret... it reminds one of cats trying to bury a mess in the garden.
This is the reality of the blood-thirst that leads us into war:
It's not all carepackages and ribbons pinned to your jacket. It's death. It's young men and women who were once whole coming home injured, broken psychologically or dead.
It is lives snuffed out before they even have a chance to begin.
..and it's not just "our side". All sides lose.
