The Ongoing Saga of Conrad Black
Conrad Black is back in the news. Today he addressed the prestigious Empire Club in Toronto where once again he insisted that he is innocent of all charges against him and gave further arguments why he should be granted Canadian citizenship once again.After the speaking engagement, he was hit by a flood of media questions. In typical 'Conrad Black' style, he claimed that he had always intended on getting his Canadian citizenship back after he renounced it to get his seat in the House of Lords. He speculated that perhaps he could be a dual citizen if only measures could be taken to allow him that right.
The media was especially interested in the $2.9 Million ring that belongs to his wife. A court order has prevented him from selling it.
This man is a disgrace to the values of real working Canadians. He should not even be considered for a return of his citizenship.
Conrad would disagree with me on that point and another. I think he will be sitting in a US Federal penitentiary in the near future. He disagrees. We shall see. Stay tuned!
