Nuclear energy may have a bad rap, what with the radiation and all, but would a dam be any better? Anything less than retrofitting every home in the province with solar panels and most outsiders looking in wouldn't be happy.

I think that the government could do more to stimulate green technology like wind and solar power, BUT, there isn't any real money to be made off of that like there is in a nuclear power plant now is there? And the bottom line, for every province, is the buck.

The People of Whitecourt and Woodlands County didn't want the reactors.
